After winning a scholarship and completing his studies at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Nick is a light lyric tenor now re-establishing a diverse career as a soloist both in opera and oratorio.
After having a 'Covid job' since 2020, in summer 2023 Nick is excited to be covering his dream role of Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore with Longborough Festival Opera.
Nick made his operatic debut in Banff, Canada, as 'Peter Quint' in the Benjamin Britten opera The Turn of the Screw. Since then he has worked with major companies including Opera North and Opera Holland Park as well as the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, where he gave his debut performances in the roles of 'Frederic' (Pirates of Penzance), and 'Nanki-Poo' (The Mikado) to critical acclaim on their UK tour.
In 2017 Nick appeared as ‘Rat’ in Scott Stroman’s adaptation of Nick Hornby’s novel, Fever Pitch and in 2018 toured with Popup Opera’s Mozart Double Bill as 'Vogelsang' in Der Schauspieldirektor and as 'Bastien' in Bastien und Bastienne.
As well as enjoying primetime TV appearances singing on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon', ‘The Matt Lucas Show’ (BBC1), ‘Crackanory’ (Dave) and even ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp’, Nick has sung live on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’.
In addition to his classical career, Nick’s lively personality has now established him as a highly successful cabaret artist in the UK and worldwide as a headliner on cruise lines including Royal Caribbean, Azamara, Seabourn and Saga Cruises. His signature show ‘Tenor Most Wanted’ has been receiving rave reviews: ‘a thrilling showcase of power and passion, from timeless classics from the world of opera to the hits of Mario Lanza and Andrea Bocelli’.
